Challenge
A tax authority landing cannot feel like a portal maze. People arrive to file, to get a PIN, or to download the app — and they need to see Kenya, not a generic government template.
Approach
One page, three jobs. The red FILE RETURNS NOW button is the primary action. CREATE NEW TAX PIN sits for anyone without a PIN. DOWNLOAD APP carries the rest. A three-up of Nairobi, the port and KES notes grounds the service in the country it collects for.
Design
Light canvas, black type, KRA red for every action. The lion mark and serif wordmark stay institutional; the headline is heavy sans. Rounded tiles hold the photography. Mockup spelling — INVIDUALS in the nav, NEEED in the headline — is left as designed.
Execution
The screen is the whole loop: AGENTS, INVIDUALS, HOME, BUSINESSES, INVESTORS; YOU DO NOT HAVE A PIN; ALL THE SERVICES YOU NEEED; RIGHT AT YOUR APP; Driving national development through effective revenue management.
Public-service UI is a wayfinding problem. If file, PIN and app are not obvious in one glance, the landing has already failed the taxpayer.
