Leveraging Internship to Propel Fotoally Success

Written on 1 July 2024, this is Mohamed’s first published note on Medium and the start of the HNG 11 internship. He uses the post to explain the programme — a large remote internship built to turn academic skill into shipped work — and to put a two-year plan on paper, including a Figma journey map from that first task.

The other half of the essay is FotoAlly (styled Fotoally in the original). He describes the product he was already researching and designing: a marketplace connecting photographers, videographers and other creatives with clients who need visual work. The internship is framed as fuel for that product, not a detour from it.
